Laura's art challenges through color, movement, and abstraction. Emotions and stories are conveyed to the viewer through a sharing of internal landscapes. She is influenced and inspired by the people and places she encounters and currently lives and paints in San Francisco.
Born in the Year of the Tiger, I aim to offer intensity and
perspective about "Whom might this be?", "What does this mean?" and
"What is happening in this life?".
I have lived in many places including New Mexico and Oregon, where
I studied Fine Art & Illustration at the Pacific NW College of Art.
Many of my black and white illustrations have been published, and I
have instructed Illustrating Children's Literature courses at
Portland Community College. Art and creative arts approaches became
my focus after receiving undergrad and graduate degrees. |
